I’m finally getting around to writing about my Bodyweight 350 experience. I completed the challenge on Saturday morning, and I swear some of my body is still feeling the effects of that beating. That was a tough workout (aren’t they all???). And, as always, I feel great for having been able to finish it and under the target time.
The way this program is setup, it really does a lot for your self-confidence. Every time you think there’s no way you can do the Bodyweight challenge, you do and then you feel fantastic about yourself. In my case, that has translated to me being more self-confident outside of the gym. I’m becoming more assertive in my daily life (not obnoxiously so) because I’m more confident in myself. And I really think this Belly Off! program, and particularly the challenges, has helped me with that.
Here’s a recap of what needs to be done for the Bodyweight 350 challenge. The target time is 30 minutes.
- 45 Prisoner Squats
- 40 Pushups
- 20 Jumps
- 20 Stability Ball Leg Curls
- 20 Stability Ball Jackknifes
- 40 Step-Ups
- 10 Pullups
- 40 Forward Lunges
- 40 Close-Grip Pushups
- 20 Inverted Rows
- 40 Squats
- 15 Chinups
Reading through the forums, it looks like a lot of us decided to break each set down into smaller chunks and take very short breaks. I’ve found it really helps to split the 40 lunges (for example) into 4 sets of 10 and take a 5-10 second break in-between each group.
That said, even with the mini-breaks, my body was jello after completing the sets. My legs were screaming at the last set of squats and my upper body was done after the inverted rows. I’m surprised I was able to climb the steps out of my basement. Somehow, I managed to fight through to the end and finish the Bodyweight 350 in 21:45. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had the same time as spiedermann, and he’s competes in triathlons!
Next week is the Bodyweight 350 + the Bodyweight 100 combined. Looking back at the Bodyweight 100, it seems almost too easy and I’m amazed at how far I’ve come in 5 short weeks.
So Ari, Kev, Rclem & everyone else who did the Bodyweight 350, how’d ya do?

I did great. I definitely had to break up the last set of close grip push ups, squats, and chinups. I felt the same as you did about the last set of squats. My legs were burning and trembling all at the same time. Still feeling the effects of the squats in my legs. Finished in a little over 22 min. I am very proud of myself for how far I have come in such a short time, as should everyone who is doing this program. You are correct in saying that when I look at the BW 100, I kind of sit back and laugh. WOW only 100 reps. That will be a cakewalk now. This program is just simply amazing. One of the best decisions I have ever made for MYSELF. Looking forward to the challenge this sat the BW 350 + BW 100. Amazing to think that I will be able to do that.
